Territory Tellers is a statewide organization of story listeners, storytellers and

All summer: During the summer Allegheny Storytellers
of Pa tell ghost stories at Baker Mansion, a local historical spot. This is a paid
event and the only one that gives us any revenue. We split the proceeds equally with

Patchwork
is a storytelling guild in the Philadelphia area. It has an annual spring retreat,
and its members tell at many venues. Call Vicky Town at 610-626-9675 for info.
An
new performance series, TROUBADOURS AND RACONTEURS, is open at the Allens Lane Art
Center. Sponsored by Patchwork, this eclectic venue will feature musicians and storytellers
in varied programs for adult audiences. The show begins at 7:30. Tickets are $5.00
and can be purchased at the door. The great restaurants of Mt. Airy and Chestnut
Hill have agreed to sponsor the performances. You may want to come early and have
dinner, support the sponsoring restaurant, then head over to Allens Lane which is
only a short jaunt away. Some performances are sponsored by Cafette at 8136 Ardleigh
St. in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. Call 215 / 242-4220 for reservations
for parties of 5 or more. (The Allens Lane Art Center is located at Allens Lane and
McCallum Streets in northwest Philadelphia. Call 215/248-2510.
